The best place to party in Singapore - KTVs

If you are visiting Singapore, the best place to party is at a KTV. Before we go further, I must clarify that KTV in Singapore is not equal to a Karaoke place. The latter is a place where families and friends go to sing, while the former, is a place that guys go to party.

How Singapore KTVs work is that you and your friends will be given a room equipped with a good karaoke system. Once you are seated and have ordered your drinks, the “mummy” will come and ask you the type of companion you prefer. Your request can be based on nationality, height, length of hair, bust size and even if she is “willing to play”. Generally, KTV girls from Vietnam are “wilder” while those from PRC are better conversationalists.

If you are an “ang moh” or westerner, you should ask the mummy for a companion that can speak English. Do however be forewarned that the choice will be limited. On the positive side, learning a new language from a sweet young thing is not too bad an experience and you will probably be too busy to notice the language barrier.

With your preference in mind, the “mummy” will bring in a line-up of ladies for you to choose. If you see someone you like, you can then ask her to join you. If you don’t, just tell the mummy that you would like to see more. The process will then repeat itself until you have found a companion you like.
Once you have selected your KTV girl, you will be presented with 2 options. In the first, the KTV will not be “exclusive” to you for the evening and she will move from room to room. In this option, she will generally stay with you for 20 mins before moving to the next room. If it is a slow night, and  she only works 2 rooms, she will be back in about 20 mins. If however, it is a busy night and she has more than 2 rooms, the downtime can be longer. What some guys do is to select 2 or 3 girls so that there is no downtime. The second option available to you, is to “book” the KTV girl. Under this option, she will stay with you throughout the night. There is no better option. It all depends on whether you want variety, or if you prefer a deeper connection.

Extra/ Special Services

If you are looking for extra or special services, this will be entirely between you and the companion. Ambience: Overall the ambience was good. The place was clean, looked new and did not have that sleazy feeling. The rooms were also of a good size and the seats comfortable. The sound system was also above average and had a good selection of songs.

 

Girls: The girls were from the traditional source of Vietnam and PRC. Looks-wise the team would assess the girls to be above average. Of the 6 girls who sat with us, only 1 was not able to engage us in conversation.

 

Price: The price of the drinks are extremely reasonable. The team visited Club Royce during Happy Hour where a tower of beer cost only $119 net. The team started our session at 5.30 pm (although we are told that they open at 4.30 pm) and stayed till the end of the early session (9 pm). As we nursed our drinks (after all we were there for the company), we only paid a total of $119 for drinks and 3.5 hours of room time.

 

Mummy: The mummy that served us (her name is "Happy") was really good. Throughout the evening, she visited us several times to check on how the girls were entertaining us. If I am not wrong, I also noticed her peeking in several times to check on whether we had girls with us.

 

Overall: Overall, the team assessed Club Royce KTV to be a great place to be relax after work. There was good value for money (in terms of room and drink costs) and the girls were not only above average in the area of looks, but was able to entertain us.
